The cello Heaney sold me had a broken sound post. The one installed was too short. Purchased a case, cello, bows, strings and other supplies a few years ago. I visited them again to upgrade to a $20K cello & upgrade a case. Instead, went to San Francisco Bay Fine Strings . Upgraded everything. Bay Fine Strings can use my case for loaners. Thomas Yee is a professional musician so he provided advice and guidance. Will revisit Bay Fine to upgrade again. Heaney would not take the case as a trade in. It was rarely used. The staff was very kind! Amazing violin business!
The service is not same as before. The current stuffs I met don’t know violin, cannot even tune the violin. So they just help you to do the transaction paper work and hand in the violin. You won’t be able to compare different violins. Moreover, they just keep asking you to upgrading. They don’t know customer’s needs, only want the quick transaction. Very disappointed!
