Legal fraudsters with disguise of Public service.
I went to use my HSA card at Walmart for FSA eligible items that I needed and my card was delined. I then went to Walgreens, with knowledge that Walmarts registers may not be coded properly for the card to go through because it sometimes can't determine if the items are FSA eligible. My card was then declined twice there. After wasting 2 hours of my time going to stores, getting the items I needed, and looking like an idiot checking out at 2 different stores with her card being declined I finally called Health Equity to see ... read more
My wife and I were fortunate enough to purchase masks from a pharmacy in this pandemic and HealthEquity wants us to produce a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) before they will reimburse us from our own FSA accounts? CDC recommends masks!! We needed to visit the hospital for ongoing treatments and they expect us to first go get a letter from the doctor to purchase masks? How do they suggest we go see the doctor and get an LMN first? Without masks? Expose ourselves to COVID first? Then what's the point of buying a mask? Other... read more
HSA is a joke with there slightly hidden administration fees of $3.95 per month and closing costs of $25 fee, which as someone else mentioned can be waived, but they didn't honor that agreement. They don't charge administration fees for balances over 2k, but for the rest of us we have to deal with these costly admin fees. $25 dollars admin fee to close the account? That's a lot of money for money going straight to the CEO's salary. Every time you make a complaint by email, you don't get a personal email of phone number to re... read more
I will try to be civil. This has to be one of the worst companies on the planet. Attempted to use my Health Equity Visa Debit Card, and it was declined. How so with money in the account from my PAYROLL?! BTW, one star is too good for this rating. I have only used the card ONCE A YEAR since 2017 for prescription glasses. And why is my balance so low?! I called customer service and what a waste of time that was. I was advised by customer service to pay out of pocket, then get reimbursed from Health Equity? Yeah, right.
This company does not deserve an A+ rating from BBB. I have hours invested trying to get them to understand that Glaucoma is a vision related disease and fully eligible for reimbursement from my Limited Flexible Spending Account. They have cited IRS regulations that don't exist and referred to IRS Publication 502 which does not make treatment for Glaucoma ineligible. I had to finally get a Supervisor to overrule the Claims Handling Dept. to get my own money. Their Marketing Material that makes reference to how convenient hav... read more
I am quite frustrated with healthequity. My company recently decided to move to another HSA service, and I was told I need to liquidate my investments to cash to have the transfer go ahead. I did this several weeks ahead of the end of Jan timeframe. Then I find out the transfer didn't go through because there was $60 worth of investments still outstanding. I talk to healthequity asking why this happened and they mention it could be a glitch. Then spend 1.5hrs to actually sell these 4 measly investments. I then asked if anyth... read more
There just isn't enough time to detail how bad they suck. After f***** up my transactions, 6 emails, 5 phone calls, 3 with more with a manager who still couldn't correct their error I closed my account and these c*** suckers have the audacity to charge me a $25 fee. v There is absolutely nothing healthy about them.
This company tried to strong arm me into accepting a payment via mastercard for service delivered. They informed me there would be a "fee" taken out of the reimbursement by my accepting a credit card payment. When I refused the credit card payment (why would I want to pay a fee to a credit card) and asked for a check, they asked me to take a lower fee for my service if I wanted to be paid in a timely fashion. When I refused the lower fee they threatened me with a clause at the bottom of their letter that stated "In accordanc... read more
