Ron K CD's rates are at certain times much higher than larger branches and worth the trip. I have large amounts of money in CD's there, and always look for their specials. They also offer CD's that when mature, can be renewed at the same rate, or if rate is higher, you get the higher rate.
Average local bank... They are okay. There is only one person on the staff that I have ever run into as being outstanding. They don't offer anything special above the "chain banks" The rates that are offered on CD's even as specials are somewhat competative. The location also is kind of bad. The left you have to make to get there can be kind of rough especially at rush hour.
