My brother was moved here from his previous care home and the expression chalk and cheese come to mind. We no longer worry about him (or his safety), he is very settled here and takes a full part in the activities. At Hartley Park he is never in his room, at his previous home he never left his room. The staff here are friendly and helpful, they also seem to know all their residents. The level of care is exceptional. This place seems very organised and friendly on the outside but from working there I can assure you that this is not the case. There was never any praise for the staffs hard work and all residents were constantly rushed and were never given the time of day. Sitting and chatting to them was not an option as we were questioned and told to get moving. I wouldn't recommend this care home, and definitely wouldn't let my grandma stay here.
