I dropped off a deposit today into an account that wasn’t mine. I did have the deposit slip with me for the deposit as well but she refused to give me a receipt. I’ve spent the last 15 years of my life employed at a financial institution and never have I seen someone refused a receipt for a deposit. I’m fully aware it was not my account, but I’m not sure what privacy right they think is violated with that practice. Do better.
