Went to the tax office this afternoon. Arrived at 2:10. Checked the door. Already locked. Sign said you close at 2:15. How did y'all come up with 2:15? Just take the whole afternoon off since you seem to be your own boss. I believe you used to be closed part of Thursday afternoon. I'll be back next week. Hopefully, you won't change your hours before then.
04/17/2025 Called at 10:45 AM to confirm that they would be able to help me around 2 pm for a title transfer. They said yes, as long as it’s not cutting it close to 4. I arrive at the office at 2 pm and I am brought into the office by Lynn, who was terribly inconvenienced that I needed a title transfer. She told me that they close at 2. I explain how I called earlier in the day to confirm, as I was traveling from 3 hours away. She tells me I must have been in contact with Marshall. Quick and easy. Sure beats waiting in Longview or Marshall.
Showed up 45 minutes before closing to be told they cant do title work because it's too close to closing time. The lady I was dealing with was also very rude for no reason. I see from the other reviews people have had issues with her in the past, but it seems nothing has been done about it.
Since my move here a few years ago, I truly have not had a bad experience in Harrison county with customer service when I've had to conduct business with the state and national government--everything from passport renewal to updating official documents to reflect my new address. It's all been so good. East Texas people are wonderful. Unfortunately, at least one of the ladies working in this specific office is just not nice. She made things as difficult as she could for me. Lesson learned. I will go elsewhere for future needs... read more
