I wish I had anything good to say about our experience on our two day hunt with Harris but I don’t. Started with zero communication the week prior, called and texted multiple times just to understand the conditions for hunt and didn’t hear back. Drove 5 1/2 hours and got to our hotel at 8:30pm before I finally got a call for the time and place to meet in the morning for the hunt. This was our first Snow Goose hunt. First day started great! Then we switched guides. JMack and Clark (Black Lab) were great. Second guide Dylan was a good guy but, I would have preferred a guide invested in the hunt. He spent his time on his phone looking through TikTok and others. Hunters were calling shots and the second day his phone went dead and he couldn't run the E-callers and the megaphone kept going dead. We had to keep telling him birds were coming in. Would give this place 10 stars if it was an option. Place was unbelievable, quite majestic. I've been on numerous hunts and this place is top notch, pricing is more than fair. Our guide Dillion is the most compassionate guide I've ever hunted with. He is a master guide by day and Chef by night!
Mother Nature had a vote during my hunts. However, we were able to get some birds. I hunted the Saturday evening and Sunday morning with Harris Outfitters, and I had a great time. We saw birds, we had opportunity, and we got some. You can't control the weather nor the birds. But, I enjoyed the opportunity to get out and hunt. I have some more hunts coming up and look forward to having more opportunity and fun!
