Not sure if this is the new thing with other banks. BUT.... when I pay a bill. I get confirmation that the bill is paid ,which means they got the amount of money they needed from my account to cover said bill. However......This bank does not show in the account that the money has been given to said vendor. WHY?... well if you think the bill is paid and you see you still have money in the bank then maybe you will spend more buying groceries etc..... Now you will possibly be overdrawn and have to pay fees to the bank. HMMMMMMM... read more
Worst Bank. Stay clear of this bank. You are better of keeping your money under your mattress then at BMO bank.
I've been a BMO customer for 17 years, never had a problem. Since January 29th, my checking account has been hacked, closed, opened a new account with new card, waited a week while their "fraud" department investigation team released MY money back to my new account..... which after just two more transactions was also compromised and yet another 10k was being transferred out of my BMO Harris account against my wishes.
