I switched over from w2 to 1099 and called the front desk to ask for instructions on what the proper steps where to get my taxes filed. She failed to mention I had to organize my own write offs. Mind u, I’ve never been 1099 and I had no idea YOU have to do it yourself! I had to ask for a day off to go pick up my receipts that I had a family member drop off because THE FRONT DESK LADY TOLD ME. Front ladies don’t give out proper information on filing taxes.
