My company often purchases hard to find, refurbished, and EOL parts from Eric Williamson of Hard Disk Direct. Eric is very responsive, always helps us find what we need, and sometimes able to offer us a discount. We have had a good experience with the refurbished equipment we have purchased. Thought I would share my great experience with Hard Disk Direct. I had great customer service from Eric W...no issue was too large for him. Received my drives and now my server has been restored...thanks a mil Eric and the Hard Disk Direct Team!
Bait and switch practices similar to prior customers' experiences. Ordered an item for next-day delivery, spent the next 2 days chasing the order down only to be met with "Oh, this item was out of stock. Now we have it, but the price is now 155% of what you have a receipt for. All the while, the sku I ordered is still on their website, available, and at the price I originally paid. Customer assistance experience was quite disappointing, and will be adding these folk to my avoid list.
I wish I'd looked this company up before making a purchase. Originally I purchased a NAS HDD from Seagate but had my order cancelled after a month (which apparently happened to many others as well) due to some sort of payment processing issue they were having. Worked with Josh to get an older part for my late father’s PC. I was having a really hard time finding it and was very distraught thinking I had lost all the wonderful memories of my dad on it. Then I found Josh, who was able to find and supply the part!! The ordering process was incredibly easy, Josh made sure to stay in contact and inform us through the collection and shipping process, truly a 10/10 experience and a 10/10 employee!!
