I think that everyone from the director to the front desk receptionist is exceptional. My mom is here and my dad was here for a short time until he passed. These people have a passion for what they do. The nurses go above and beyond knowing every resident and taking time to talk to residents and family anytime . Having the ability to talk to a nurse whenever you want is NOT a common thing in many of these places and you have that here. The Gables of Jacksonville is an absolutely wonderful place. My husband and I are responsible for my 96-year-old grandmother, and after having placed her in similar communities, we’ve finally been able to relax and watch her thrive at The Gables. I was initially looking for respite care for my 89 year old Mom, and spent time touring The Gables facility, reviewing amenities, costs and more with a wonderful walk thru of the facility provided by Charlotte. I have been to MANY assisted living facilities, and was impressed with the inviting, personalized, and caring culture of The Gables.
