I brought my bridesmaid's dress in to be hemmed, to have bra cups put in, and to cover a burn mark on the back. I suggested the fabric be removed where the burn mark is, and a corset-style back be installed, since a significant amount of fabric had to be removed. The tailor said "sure", and I left the store. I was out of town, and came back six weeks later to find that the tailor had done nothing to deal with the burn mark, but she hemmed the dress, which I specifically told her not to do until I came back with my shoes.
