I’ve owned 3 pairs of halls over the last 12 years, none of them have disappointed. They hold up very well. A double layered shank may be a better option if you’re just in your hooks all day or looking for a pure climbing boot. But as far as an all around boot for line work, it doesn’t get much better than these. Customer service is also top notch. You call and you talk to a person.
