Ridiculous increase on assessments the last 2 years. 32% on my little 1300 sq foot house and 2.7 acres. My 72 yr old mother's was up 45% in 2 yrs, but luckily the appeals process helped her. Unfortunately, i didn't appeal. They just sold my grandparent's place for 500 and something, but they appraised it at 600 and something. Over 20% more. School taxes this year are more than my entire bill was 4 years ago. What are we paying for..... I'm just guessing, but probably free schooling for illegals and their 5 kids.
