A few months ago, I scheduled an appointment with Hakim Optical at Lougheed Mall for a vision test. During our phone conversation, they assured me that an optometrist was available in the store for the eye exam. They charged me $85 for the eye exam, and I received my prescription. Two weeks ago, I intended to visit the Spacesaver store to purchase eyeglasses using the prescribed prescription. Tamy was the best employee this store had, sad to see she no longer works there. Now it's just a bunch of uneducated staff that don't know the difference between distance and reading glasses
Professional and friendly service, great selection, and direct billing. Couldn't ask for more.
5 for the doctor, 1 for the staff. Avoid this place. Their staff have a shark like way of behaving. Went for a eye exam and maybe get a glasses in house there. It's common sense to discuss the full costing with a client if you know their insurance doesn't cover it all so they know they might have to pay out of pocket so they can decide if that's something they are okay. But this lady just directly bills my insurance THEN she tells me i need to pay extra. I say then never mind, i want to cancel and not buy their glasses. Its ... read more
