Took my grand daughter's old mobile phone to get unlocked as she couldn't remember the passcode as it was a old phone, and I wanted to take on holidays with me to put a local sim in it. After paying $20 for a sim holder and $60 to get the phone unlocked, the phone is still not useable. They asked if I knew my appleID which I said I did, he said you have to put that in the phone once it is wiped clean.
