My family member had a very good stay here for respite. The staff ratio is excellent and the staff provide very good care and support. The lifestyle/ activities program was top notch and the woman on reception made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. 4 stars instead of 5 is because my family member did not enjoy the food and the room could have been cleaner.

This public aged care facility is well run with the correct staff to resident ratios (unlike many private aged care homes). Residents are treated with dignity and engaged to an appropriate level for their capacity. I see two very negative reviews in place. Take it from a committed family member, supporting a resident from afar that Hailey House does a very good job and there are many happy residents. They could do with more visitors to be kind and engage with the residents. Any takers to volunteer and assist the team?
Dreadful place. My father’s wallet stolen. Buzzer not within reach. They don’t answer when buzzer is pressed. Mouldy water jugs and dirty water in sippy cups. Dirty, dusty rooms. Slop for food. Only if you have full mobility and mind would this place be bearable. They have no integrity, empathy or basic humanity. Do not recommend.
Disgusting the way elderly are treated.
