Best hospital was there with my husband saturday at 12:am. The wait was crazy but we didn't mind cuz it was very busy. The nurse and doctor did apologize for the wait. They had found out he had kidney stone what i love was that he was being send home but once they notice my husband was getting worse they didn't. Discharge him. They quick got the especially n into the surgery room.. Thank God everything went well. Thank you for all ur service. .
This is supposed to be the best hospital around....NOT! First trip to the ER, no rooms, sat on stretcher in hallway...took forever for nurse to come and the doctor, who was a resident, I saw only twice in a few hours that I was there! Didn't listen to me or tell me anything....send me home with medicine that I said didn't help! What a waste! Second trip to ER 4 days later...big difference.....had a DOCTOR! He explained everything about my condition and gave me medicine that actually help! Another bad thing bout this place...... read more
I had my son here a couple of days ago and we had the best experience as first time parents. Doreen, Maribel, Jess, and the rest of the ladies were amazing,loving,and caring with us we always felt like our baby was is in great hands!!
I went for pre op. My appointment was for 10:00 a.m. I wasn't seen until 11:00 which made me late for my following appointment that I had. They think you have no life after the testing. When I was admitted it was a different ballgame. The nurses were excellent. But for outpatient testing, they couldn't care less how long you did and wait.
I brought my son in to the children's ER last night. It's a little out of my way being that I don't live in Bergen County but my pediatrician insisted I go there. Thankfully it was nothing too serious...just stitches. I just wanted to express my gratitude. From the minute I pulled up to the parking attendants, to the friendly faces at the front desk, triage nurses, ER doctor and nurse....it could not have been a more pleasant experience. I fully trust the Heart center at the Hospital. The staff fully informed me about the tests and very understanding throughout the testing. I admire how professional they are. Dr Katdare is my Cardiologist is a great doctor as well as being a very caring one

Like most of the reviews I've read about the HUMC ER experience, they agree with my mother in-law's experience. Understaffed, long waiting time and basic lack of compassion or concern. However once your admitted to the hospital it's a completely different story. The level of care couldn't be better. So that begs the question, does anyone from HUMC monitor feedback from social media ... obviously not.
