Special shout out to George manager of the parts department. A man who truly understands reuse, recycle.
72 yr old. Downsizing. Called Restore Habitat to pick up 4 items. Sent them pics. The item shown is an antique. Brass & copper work. Upon bringing it out to the front porch I had to enlist 2 reliable neighbours help. I am recently widowed. The 2 young pick up guys refuse to take as a small door got wrenched out by myself during cleaning & packing. Spoke with CJ +3 others & was told that I have to bring items to the front porch. Found almost everything I wanted and reasonably priced. It's definitely worthwhile checking there first.
Some items a little over priced
I like to call in to this store usually once a fortnight. New stuff coming in all the time... The staff are always friendly and helpful. I like that I can just wander around, not really knowing what I'm looking for, but usually finding some tool or paint I can certainly make use off. Prices can be a tad higher (especially on some tools and screws and wood) than say a couple of years ago... but all in all there are good purchases to be made.
