My grandmother was from Clarington and went to school in Sigel when she was a kid. Most of my family lives in NY but we always vacation back here each year. It's our home away from home. I can remember my grandparents stopping here to get gas everytime we were in the area as far back as I can remember. I always loved this store as a little girl and I still love it. I'm much, much older now and started bringing my husband to Cook Forest ever since we met and we would always stop here to get food and snacks for our cabin stays... read more

Favorite place to stop when I come to town. Sad if they don't open back up. I kept driving by and stopping, hoping. Maybe next summer.

Truman’s store is the best. We drove past a few times this summer and the sign says closed for the season however am wondering if they are closed permanently since they are normally open for the summer. Hope all is well with Tim and the whole Truman family. I have been going there since I was a little girl with my parents. It will be sad to see this store closed.
