I've been with Gulf Winds since 2006 and recently paid my car off early. Well we canceled the extended warranty and no refund. We originally paid over $1800 for the extended warranty. They only paid out $832 in repairs throughout the loan. There excuse was that the percentage used was 80%. WOW! Is that math with a curve? They also stated that the cancelation fee was $25. Never have I been disappointed and let down from a financial institution. There are a few items I want to address. For one their debit card chips are terrible quality. In one year I went through three different cards because the chip kept malfunctioning. When I would go in for a new card a majority of the time they weren't apologetic. We have been with Gulf Winds in Milton, FL since 2017 when they approved us for a new car loan with a really low interest rate. They are a great credit union with great customer service. Although today I went in and you have a new Asian guy that I haven't seen before. He should be trained to wish his customers a good day, especially when they say thank you. He's rude.
