We had a disappointing experience at Guidepost Montessori Mahwah. Leadership was disorganized, communication was poor, and genuine concerns were consistently dismissed. The environment felt reactive and understaffed. To make matters worse, staff and teachers are being asked to post positive reviews to boost ratings—of course those will be glowing, when families are footing the bill. What you see online doesn’t reflect the day-to-day reality.
Our son has been at Guidepost Montessori Mahwah for nearly two years since he was an infant l, and it’s been an incredible experience. The teachers are warm, patient, and truly care about the kids. We’ve seen our son grow so much in confidence, independence, and curiosity since starting here. The classrooms are calm and beautiful, and the sense of community they help promote through events and learning opportunities is heartfelt.
