Guidepost Brasswood is a very special place. We started our son there day 1 of opening. While the beginning months were a bit rocky with opening a new school, we rode out the growing pains and and are glad we did. Once the Head of School (Shelby) came on, the experience became incredible. She created such a great community and made it a place my son loved to come to. We enrolled our child expecting a true Montessori environment, and while they had the montessori tools, the teachers were not montessori certified and lacked basic skills for childcare so we received less than a daycare style treatment. Also, the building was consistently kept extremely cold often around 62°F, I checked the thermostat on multiple occasions and was shocked by the low temps. Guidepost Montessori at Brassword is an outstanding school! Shelby and Amanda go above and beyond to create a welcoming and supportive environment, making me feel completely comfortable leaving my children in their care. Guidepost has been such a blessing for both of my kids! They have really thrived in this environment. I remember touring the school for my oldest child and seeing young kids doing advanced things on their own and thinking “he’s not going to be able to do that,” but now he is! The staff is wonderful and the guides are the best. I cannot recommend this school enough.
