Guardian was founded in 1958 to provide savings and loan accounts to those in the Alabama National Guard and their families. We have continued to grow in the community to who we are today, a full service financial institution that is open for membership to anyone that lives, works, worships or attends school in the thirteen counties we serve.

They were supposed to close at 5 pm got yere at 4:47 pm on a Monday and they were closed. Gonna be refinancing my loan through navy federal asap. I work at a bank and we do not close until closing time and not one minute earlier.
This is by far the worst Guardian CU, I've ever ran across. I went to make a deposit at this location and was told that I couldn't without an explanation, after asking a few times. I was told "there was a freeze on the account that couldn't be removed unless I updated my home address." While in the process of moving to another address, I couldn't provide this information and it was better to leave my postal box address on file to avoid having my personal banking information sent to my old home address listed on my identifica... read more
Extremely poor customer service! This bank stole $400 from me!
This bank wants to hold onto YOUR money as long as possible. Transfers and holds take forever. My other credit unions process transfers in 2 or 3 days. Guardian takes 5 or more days. I do not recommend this credit union.
Have always recommend every since I opened my account. But today I have to give the young lady working the drive thru this morning some snaps! She was the sweetest! Made my morning a little better
