Town clerk is utterly awful. The self righteous Queens who process the checks when paying your town & County tax are petty at best. The slightest thing they will send the check back. Like who are you? Why do I need to make my check at the bottom left for what I'm paying "for" to a person and not my parcel or bill number? You always pay your order number or account number or any other identifiers on the " for" at the bottom of the check- that's how checks work!!! Not some random persons name you don't know.
