History When we bought our 35 acres in 1977, it looked very different than it does today, consisting of primarily corn, soybeans, and tobacco fields. The soil was worn out and in need of restoration. We spent a number of years building up the quality of the soil by planting beneficial crops like rye and rapeseed. Like many young farmers, we started growing fruits and vegetables by a trial-and-error process. A wonderful family run Apple Orchard. The store has spectacular apple pie filling, fresh apple cider, delicious apples, and fresh apple cider donuts. The owners are very friendly. My family loves to visit.
