HORRIBLE! The front is all nice, but the back is awful. Smelly, dirty. My son in law arrived two weeks ago healthy, had to transport him to ER as he was non responsive.staff didn’t even know he was non responsive. He has sepsis, severely dehydrated, lost 10 lbs in two weeks. He has SO MANY BED SORES!!! He didn’t have ANY when he was admitted.He was social and lucid, able to wheel himself around, within two weeks he was bedridden, dehydrated and basically starved, with No communication from facility. My husband Bob and I are so grateful to the amazing staff at Greenbrier for bringing him so far in his recovery from a massive stroke! A special shoutout to administrator Ciara, social worker Steven, and head of nursing Katherine. Also to the amazing nurses and nurse assistants who went above and beyond everyday, including Matilda, Tammy, Ruth, Ericka, Shay, Tay, & Violet, among others. I had the pleasure of completing my social work internship at Greenbrier, and it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic and professional journey. My husband Bob and I are so grateful to the good staff at Greenbrier, where he is recovering from a massive stroke. A special shout-out today to Kim Davis, the wonderful Dietary Manager who makes sure he gets healthy and delicious entrees every day! We love the variety, and though we haven’t taken advantage of it, there’s a “always available menu” in case a resident doesn’t like the current meal posted for a particular day.

Volunteering at Greenbrier Healthcare Center has been such a meaningful and joyful experience. The community is incredibly warm and welcoming, and there’s always something fun happening. There’s games and crafts to group therapy that helps bring everyone together. Stephanie, the activity director, plays a huge role in making it all possible.
