I googled rehab centers for my dad and Life Care Center of Valpo came back with great reviews. The evening nurse on the rehab/short term care wing, John, had great reviews. He has more than lived up to the reviews I read. All of the staff have been amazing but John takes it to the next level as far as his nursing abilities, care of the patients and his compassion. I’m so happy we picked this place to care for my dad during his recovery.

I tell you what I had a very bad experience at Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation so I was very skeptical about putting my mother into another nursing home, but this I will say the Hammond Whiting Care Center has been so good to me and to my mother and I could not be happier with her anywhere else, Eva assured me it would be a different experience and I believed her and I am so glad that I did she is fantastic as well as the entire staff!!!! Thank you guys for taking such good care of my mom💜

My parents were admitted to Life Care for rehabilitation. They received exceptional care during their stay and now call Life Care home. The staff are caring people who treat you like family. They go above and beyond to meet your needs. We thank you for taking care of my parents and all that you do.

My grandma has had two stays with Life Care Center of Rochester. Her first stay helped her get strong enough to have hip replacement surgery. Getting clearance for surgery had been a struggle until after receiving care from their staff. The rehab team helped her gain her strength and she enjoyed the laughter she had with them during treatments. She told me over and over how nice everyone was there. The Andover location is neglectful of the their residences. There is enough staff to give care but a lack of leadership oversight to ensure employees are doing their jobs. Residence do not receive sufficient assistance with eating, bathing and dressing. My relative would go to bed in their day clothes because of lack of assistance. Facilities are lovely but service and levels of care are terrible. We felt as if we were sold a "pig in a poke". Plenty of promises to get you to use facility but no follow through. Father in Law was here for 2 weeks for rehab after surgery. Took several days for therapy to begin. Very poor communication between departments. Staff does poor job conveying information to patients as well. Patient had health concern and pushed call button. Took an hour to get response. Met with staff to express concerns. My mother is a resident of Green Valley. She tells me all the time how much she likes it here. She talks about the good care she receives from the nurses, CNA's, and even the cooks and housekeeping staff! She loves the food they serve and says they are fattening her up. Mom really enjoys the social life at Green Valley, the activities, coffee club, singing and church on Sunday. I am very pleased that my Mother is so happy here.

My dad was here for several months and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very compassionate and took excellent care of him. He loved the food and staff became his friends. I highly recommend Green Valley Care Center!
