Our yarn mill is cobbled together from a group of antique machines and new technology wedged into a building converted from an old gas station at the off ramp of I-91 in Putney Vermont. We make thousands of pounds of yarn each year for individual farmers, yarn shops and knitters. I do not appreciate being barked at by a black dog when trying to make a purchase in the store. If employees cannot control their dogs they should not be in the retail area. I was bitten by a dog as a child and dogs barking at me with teeth showing is a trigger. Please be aware not all your customers are comfortable around dogs.
I am so glad that I found Green Mountain Spinnery. I placed an order for the DK weight yarn in the color "Touch of Grey" on Sunday evening. The package arrived on the following Wednesday and the yarn is so beautiful. The color is much more vibrant in person...I would say it is a light to medium shade of grey. I have not knit with the yarn yet but I know I will be very happy with the outcome. I will surely be a return customer...Thank you Green Mountain Spinnery!
My husband and I detoured here on a whim for some yarn shopping and ended up having an amazing experience! Sally and Marley kindly led us on our tour of the fiber mill and left none of our questions unanswered. Of course we also left with numerous skeins of wonderful yarn. Thanks again, ladies!
