I had refinanced my auto loan with the credit union and got a pretty good rate. This one month I transferred funds to my account to pay for the month but I forgot to transfer it to my loan account just before I went on vacation for a week. When I came back from vacation, I got a phone call probably from one of the finance managers in a very irritated tone asking "where is the money" for the auto loan payment instead of asking or trying to understand why the payment wasn't received or just simply letting me know. I have personally banked with GICU for over 20 years. The staff are always friendly and supportive. I have had personal and mortgage loans through them, debit and credit cards, vehicle loans, and they always have competitive rates. Whenever issues have risen, they promptly correct them. I really like the mobile app showing you your pending charges immediately online. Other banks take days to post them. It just makes it easier to track my finances for me. Will remain a loyal customer to this credit union.
I decided to use GICU because they had a better rate...I was greeted with a friendly smile and the associate began the process of changeover...he was very knowledgeable and he made the transfer very easy for me...GICU appears to be a well managed business...
