Terrible company. They have a monopoly on services and could care less about customer service. We are just a cash register they ring for money in return for terrible and unreliable service. I wish I could give a negative star rating.

This company quoted me a price of $20 per month for a basic service to operate our point of sale, we received a bill for $299.89 a month and a half later, so we contacted them to inform them that the price was not what they quoted us. We also informed them that they were to remove the equipment. The representative called us about a week later and left a message to call him which was done. I have a TV issue, one works, the other does not. I called & was on the line with Maria for over 35 minutes, we tried "everything" to get it working - checking fire stick, router, etc. & still could not get the problem solved. At no point did she make me feel I was imposssible !!!!. Since we could not get it fixed I am awaiting a call from a tech, but she should be commended on her first class customer service.

The local people I deal with have been very helpful, but the service from Great Plains has been unacceptable. Our subscription cost have gone up and the quality of the service and TV reception has gone down especially late in the evening. Our TV screen displays the message "signal unavailable" or content has pixel reception (distorted). At these times some of the channels are very good and clear but many of the channels have the message "signal unavailable". Black outs daily, channels you have and pay for will suddenly show (NOT AUTHORIZED ) while you are viewing a program, news, etc. Ponca, Ne. residence are lucky to have working cable and internet 2 weeks out of a month. Great Plains Communications is definitely one for, "RIP OFF REPORTS "

We have reviewed the account and determined that the customer has not called to report any service interruptions since August 15, 2016. At that time they were experiencing a loss of channels due to the fact that their cable box had worn out. The technician in their area resolved the issue by replacing the equipment within 5 hours of the initial call. Further, we have not received any reports of current outages in this service area. I mean, I really don't know what to say. My experience with Great Plains was overwhelmingly negative, but much of that was due to the satellite internet we had to use (*****************), which was possibly the worst company, with the most exorbitant fees for the shoddiest service, that I have ever done business with. (****** reviews of ***************** and you will see and endless stream of bitterness and impotent rage from their dissatisfied customers.)
