I’ve been a member of GLCU since 2018, and unfortunately my recent experience has raised serious concerns. In 2021–2022, I went into the Gurnee branch to open a CD and was instead guided into opening an IRA that was not clearly explained even after asking them basic questions that should've been answered correctly upfront. FRAUD !!!!! GREAT LAKES CREDIT UNION (SPECIFICLY THIS LOCATION) ALLOWED A FRAUD CHECK $24,000 TO CLEAR! WHEN I CONTACTED THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT, I GOT A RUN AROUND AND FINALLY GOT AN EMAIL RESPONSE BACK. ALL THEY DID WAS KEEP TELLING ME TO WORK WITH MY BANK. I TOLD THEM I DID! THAT IS HOW I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN A PHOTO OF THE FAKE CHECK. THEY KEPT SAYING THE SAME THING- TO WORK WITH MY BANK. THEY WERE NOT CONCERNED AND NO HELP. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
