Bait and Switch! Stay away at all costs. Lowest quoted price at point of contract. No mention of weight or problem at pick up. Delayed follow-up quoting price increase double from initial quote. Holding household goods hostage. No communication regarding status of items. Dishonest business practices.

Do not use Great Job Movers, especially if moving out of the DMV area. We book them in early May for a pick-up date of June 29th, plenty of time in advance. They came and picked everything up with relatively little problems. BUT they kept our things in storage for the past 16 days rather than get on the road, saying there have been numerous problems "out of their control" that came up. Not only did they trash our dining room set among other items, not set up items they disassembled, put items in wrong places, ignore instructions, they have not returned phone calls. Just very bad

Initially I was confident that this was going to be an easy and productive move at a competitive price point. That quickly changed and it has become a nightmare. I am not one to write reviews good or bad. But, I felt like in this case it was necessary. To begin I was quoted 1900$ for my move, I ended up being charged 3100$. Used Great Job moving recently for a move from Upper Marlboro, MD to Washington, DC. The movers were slow and did not want to move items upstairs. It took them more than 3 hours to load packed items from a garage onto the moving truck. Eventually, I decided to assist so it would not take another hour moving my pictures to the truck. Also, when I'd ask them to move a desk and armoire to the 2nd floor, up one flight of stairs, they told me that the items were too big for the staircase.
