Ed really knows about fish and has done a great deal of research to bring only THE BEST fish and seafood into his store.
This salmon was great! I made 29 packs of Lox and one very nice dinner with this 5lb. slab of fish. I used the Siever's Farm Market Mango Habanero Salsa and some Ponzu to marinate the salmon in, topped it with fresh cilantro and jalapeno peppers...then baked it at 475 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. It was wonderful! Served it with Cilantro & Sesame Oil brown rice and veggies. Thanks!
The freshest fish. Been there twice. Clean and no fish smell when walk into market. People are awesome! Highly recommend.
I have been in numerous times to the store and each time the owners are friendly, helpful and courteous. The store is very nice with interesting items to purchase in addition to fish. I haven't had a bad experience with a single item that I have purchased. The fish is always fresh and the oysters are excellent. The pricing is great too especially considering the quality of the fish. Overall, five stars all around. I am excited to go back just thinking about the store!
3rd visit to the new store and love it! The Walleye tasted just like I remember from my trip to Canada - fresh out of the lake. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The Swordfish was excellent also. Scallops on for dinner tonight!
Just had the scallops with a little lemon and olive oil and they just melted in my mouth! Delicious! Lovely little shop with interesting extras. Also, purchased the frozen clam chowder for Friday instead of the fresh that was on the menu. What recipe shall I try next? YUM
As the owner of the newly open Great Depths Seafood, we strive to supply our area with the very best quality products available. It is unfortunate that someone was not satisfied with their purchase--and did not allow us the opportunity to rectify the problem before posting their comments. Customer service is number one--we can't fix it if we don't know.
After spending fifty dollars we expected to have good if not great seafood. What we got were grouper with worms. If we had not skinned the fish we wouldn't have known that it had worms. The oysters were old. Everything we bought had to be thrown away. Will never be going back.
Customer service was excellent. I got ouyters and they were big. Got two baker dozen and only one didn't open. Looking forward to going often.
