I used Granite Mountain for the past few years and have become increasingly dissatisfied. First, they added a deduction to one of my returns that should not have been taken. I understand that mistakes happen. When they do, I simply expect acknowledgment and accountability. They attempted to fix it and helped me pay the associated underpayment. Being new in town we put our faith in this business. Colossal mistake. There were amended returns and several extra charges involved. They wouldn’t return my phone messages or emails. I had to call the state to take care of 2023 taxes myself. They advised me to get another tax preparer.
These people don't answer the phone and are rude when they do. When I tried to contact Daniel, the owner, he was always "busy". They messed up my 2024 estimated taxes which caused me to owe more tax. Obviously did not use them to file my 2024 taxes.
I’ve been using Granite Mountain accounting for over 5 years now and Bill and his team are amazing. I was fortunate enough to use his location in Flagstaff & Las Cruces due to military moves and continue to use them from Alaska! I’m so thankful that they are efficient and everyone on the team is so friendly. I was working with Megan on our 2024 taxes and she spent so much time talking me through everything.
