This office has always been polite, professional and extremely efficient when renewing property tax exemptions. Not the nicest office I've seen but the most efficient.
This office gave me SO MUCH wrong information that has cost me a lot of money. I'm a disabled veteran, which means I get a property tax exemption in Illinois. The day after I bought my house, I went to this office to apply for this exemption. I was told that I couldn't get the exemption until January 2022. So I paid my taxes for a year and went back in January 2022 with all of the paperwork they had listed. This time, they told me that actually I couldn't get my exemption until 2023, almost two years after I bought my house.... read more
