Truly disgusting business practice. This company latches onto charity events to divert potential donations into their pockets. They sell reproduced memorabilia, in which they charge 5x-10x the item's market price. The items never get more than 1 bid, as the prices are so ridiculous, and they have a clause in which the charity only benefits in the case of people bidding over the initial bid minimum. if only there was an option for 0 stars, then GSM would get 0 stars from me. My clients are all non-profits and social service orgs, and I get invited to a lot of galas that have silent auctions. I like to support my clients, and their good works, so I bid on an item which I wound up winning. Almost ripped off!! I found an autographed hockey puck (Kuznetsov) that I was interested in buying. The regular price was $89.99, but it was on sale for $71.99 and free shipping. When I concluded the sale, the price was listed as $89.99 with free shipping. I tried to reach them by phone, but the person I needed to speak to had "just left". I was told to call back on Monday. I ordered an item from Grandstand Sports and Memorabilia's website and received a confirmation of my order...a week later I received an email from their Vice President advising the they were sold out of the item I ordered and they were sorry...very disappointing to have been suckered by a company that cannot be trusted to even know the accuracy of their own inventory...I guess in this arena (where there are so many questions about the authenticity of memorabilia) keeping track of what's in inventory is too complicated...alte... read more
