5 stars We can’t say enough wonderful things about Grand Living at Tower Place in West Des Moines. Our mom originally moved in for a short winter stay, and she quickly fell in love with the community — so much so that she decided to make it her permanent home! Visited Grandma in her new home! I am thoroughly impressed with how clean, well staffed, activities, exercise facilities, and dining options (included in rent). I also appreciate the laundry being in the rooms, vs. community based.

While I don’t know anyone who is a resident at Gran Living, the other day I did witness a resident and two employees during lunch at a very busy location. The compassion and effort that they put into the care of the resident was great. They came into a local eatery where he had frequented many times before and had a sandwich named after him years ago. After ordering, the resident was getting agitated and wanted to leave. The employees did a great job redirecting and keeping the gentleman calm. It is not often that you see co... read more
