In 1976 Grace House was started in midtown Memphis at 329 N. Bellevue by Pat Stokes. It began as a "safe house" for alcoholic women who were trying to get sober. Since that time, it has grown and transformed into a reputable long term residential alcohol and drug treatment center, with a halfway house and extended care programs.
