This shop is the best! I had a kilt made here about 5 years ago and they were so great I went back on my second trip. Gordon and Morgan were both so friendly and accommodating. They spent so much time with my family and me talking about Scottish history, clothing, and just having a good time. Mr. Nicolson was full of great stories and jokes and Morgan was a wealth of knowledge about pretty much everything. They really made us feel at home. My wife set me up to be fitted for a Kilt fitting for my ancestral Clan. This is one of the premier kilt makers in Scotland and the experience was both educating and humbling. I had much to learn about my heritage from Scotland. This was one part of that journey. Also visited the Town of Tain for the Clan Ross museum. I really did enjoy Scottish culture and the people.
Absolutely delightful experience! The staff are gracious and quickly accommodated my desire for a bespoke kilt. Appointments are available online or by stopping in. My wife got a scarf matching the tartan I selected (Monarch of the Glen) and I added a made to order dress sporran.
Would highly recommend for any hiring needs or bespoke kilt making. Sasha was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and ensured we got exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely return in future
Very informative and attentive, and yes I bought a complete dress kilt including shoes. Only too about an hour to be fitted and add all the accessories. I was told It would take about 8 weeks to make and ship.
