Goodwill is not the thrift stop it used to be. Of course, I realize a lot of places have changed. It doesn't help that most of us cost conscious folks are hanging on to our items far longer than we normally would to squeeze out every cent we paid for it before donating it. So much of the stuff in the Goodwills I've visited recently is in pretty poor condition and priced the same as you can get new at a discount retail outlet like Ross.
