These guys have done my mom's taxes for years. When Mike Goodfellow retired customer service declined. My mom, who is 92, received a late fee that Chase Mahaffey said he would take care of for us. He never did! Now my mom, who has always prided herself for impeccable credit has been turned to collections. I have stopped by his office at least 3 times (hes not there), I have called 4 or 5 times and I don't get the common courtesy of a call back. They will never get any more business from our family. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Chase Mahaffey cost us thousands of dollars and three years of trouble with the IRS. Our 2021 tax return was prepared by Chase and he was supposed to digitally file it in 2022. We had paid our taxes in full with the return and never received any notice or other type of letter from the IRS saying anything was out of order. I've used these guys for about 3 years now. At first, they were great. Communicative, friendly, etc. This year, I got everything in a month before they were due, paid their filing fee, and yet the IRS claims they never received our filing. Now I can't get a hold of anyone in this office. I've called and emailed multiple times for 2 months now and have not received a single word back. Don't use them for your small business filing needs. Absolutely horrible. They should not be in business. Everything you've read in the other low ratings also happened to us. Very disappointed and disgusted.
Unresponsive and rude. Didn't file our taxes as expected on time, even though we returned the electronic filing form before the deadline. Then, they didn't let us know that an extension had been filed and that we had to file a paper return. Wouldn't return phone calls; Mahaffey never seems to be in the office. Wife is rude. All we wanted to know was a simple answer: whether he had filed our tax return, which we had paid him $475 to do. We sure miss Mike Goodfellow.
