I have been volunteering at Cedar Lodge Independent Living for probably 4 years. This is such a wonderful place…I love coming here! The residents are so friendly and happy! They are like one big family! They look out for one another! I have been in several of their apartments (homes) and they are beautiful! They always have activities planned for them with some fun outings also. There are good lunches served here for them so they don’t even have to cook! My mom was here for a little over a week, from day one when she pushed her button for assistance it was rare that it took less than 15 minutes for someone to come help her. There was a time when she waited 2 hours needing to use the restroom and she kept getting informed someone would be there to help shortly. No one came and I called the person that answered was extremely rude regarding the situation. This issue was supposed to be resolved and for about a day they assisted in a timely manner but after that it was back to wa... read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend any of these kinds of places to anyone. They're like water, they take the path of least resistance when it comes to the care of the patient. The majority of the staff has little interest in what is actually best for patient, especially if it requires having to think and problem solve. Also, there is ZERO common sense applied at this facility and you can be assured they'll do exactly what's easiest for them, again, with no regard to what's best for the ... read more
