I was released from Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, NY late last night after spending 2 days in Emergency Care to diagnose and initially be treated for pneumonia. My doctors and nurses did fine jobs but some of the other ER staff on February 11, 2023 displayed juvenile behavior, using me as the brunt of their silliness, none of which aided the healing of this 77 year old sick man. Good Samaritan Baxter Pavillion is Horrible. The nurses & aides are wonderful, but they are so short staffed they cannot do their jobs properly. They are hard working, dedicated & kind.. Bust being in Baxter is a death trap. If you are elderly you may as well go their to die. My loved one is has been neglected & lies in his own waste. His room is often filthy.
