The absolute worst utility company ever. Terrible customer service. Shady billing tactics to nickel and dime customers.
Trying to call is frustrating. you get bounced around from one automated message to another. If you happen to stumble upon someone's actual voicemail and leave a message the odds of receiving a return call is poor. Emailing them is even worse, if that's even possible.
I just had an unsatisfactory conversation with a woman in customer service. I called about a letter I got from an insurance company insuring both gas and waterlines. She told me she had received other calls from seniors who have received letters about insurance. She could not tell me if the company is a scam or not. I understand that. I wanted to know why Goleta Water had not investigated it or at least posted a notice about the letters. She got really rude and said they had nothing to do with it.
