What a horrible experience. I just got off the phone with someone at Goleta Muffler and Brakes, and it was an unexpectedly unpleasant phone conversation. In the THREE minute conversation (3:09 to be exact) I had with the person, he sounded impatient and in a hurry to get rid of me. Talk about not caring about customer service. I had three questions: 1. welding a cracked exhaust manifold; 2. replacing a gasket in the exhaust under the engine; 3. resurfacing the brake rotors. Economy Brake promotes bad business Flat out bad business practice. Got a referral from a worker there for some body work damage that needed to be done on my car. The work was done by somebody who works on their property in coordination with their business. Had too bring the car back four times and the work still wasn't done right. They refused to refund my money and ended up having to bring the car elsewhere to get the job right. Avoid this place at all cost!
Local places Make sure to get an estimate first, but this is true w/ all mechanics. The prices of these local places aren't written in stone, so it is a good idea to shop around, I found this place did a decent job for the price. Everything works great. Look for Free brake inspection coupon in the mail.
