We have been in the minis class at Goldfish Swim School in Stamford since May 2025 and it has been the best decision we have ever made. Our 1 year old has become obsessed with swimming, is visually improving and feels comfortable around water. She loves being dunked, high fiving Elmo, swimming toward the balls and goldfish and practicing kicking. Incredible facilities, great first session, the trouble is that once your kid is enrolled, the staff don’t really communicate with you as to how the kid is progressing. We did it once a week for 3 months with an 8 year old and a 3 year old. Instructors are in the pool when you escort the kid out. It’s hard to hear them or know if they even remember your kid week over week. They don’t seem to take notes. My daughter has been going to Goldfish since she was 3. She is now turning 5 and we are amazed at her transformation! She went from being afraid to even step into the water to now swimming confidently by herself! Huge shout out to all the coaches there. They intentionally make it extremely difficult to cancel. It’s subscription based, and signing up is an easy streamlined process online. Seems like it should be a click of a button in their online platform to cancel, right? Nope. You have to submit a signed form at least one month in advance. I DID all that, and they confirmed receipt of my withdrawal forms, and they STILL kept charging me!
