Golden Plains Credit Union in Garden City, KS claims to be a full service credit union, however they are unable to complete the simplest of tasks. I sent a $900 Pre-Authorized check to a friend using Bluebird by American Express (which is in every Walmart in the country) and even after calling to verify that the pre-authorization is confirmed they are requiring a ten day hold before they release funds, and they refuse to initiate a 3 way call to confirm with a live person. Whatever you do, don't buy the Gap insurance policy for your vehicle from Golden Plains Credit Union. I paid the loan off after having the vehicle for a year which terminated the Gap addendum, however, they will not give me a pro-rated refund. I do no recommend doing business with them at all.
