Hello friends and neighbors--- To begin with this "facility" was taken over on October 1, 2017 by Monarch "Healthcare" and renamed "The Estates of St Louis Park", Golden Living no longer has any affiliation with this place, let's put blame exactly where it belongs, squarely on Monarch Healthcare! Today, Feb.4, 2019 I didn't receive my 8 am or noon medications, furthermore, I bumped my leg on Jan. 8, 2019 and the next day I had a baseball sized lump on my leg.that I brought to the nursing staffs attention. I just visited my aunt. The first floor was empty. The elevator extremely slow as always. She had been moved AGAIN (always being moved), and staff couldn't speak English but only point me to where she was. Her front wheel on her wheel chair was missing all its rubber. Both the aide and nurse just shrugged their shoulders when I told them. Urine odor is always aweful. She was to receive therapy due to a fall and then moved closer to family YEARS AGO. And I could go on and on. The don't deserve even the 1 star.

Overall staffing is good. However there are times when there is a long wait to answer the call lites due to short staffing. Meal quality at times is poor, bad tasting and small portions such as you would serve a preschool child. I have had my cell phone taken from my room (stolen) as I have heard several other residents say but hearsay.

I am an outside care provider. The facility has made great changes in the last few months and are working hard to renew the facility. The staff truly care for their patients as if they were family!
