I cannot recommend Golden Bay Air enough. The experience was one of the highlights of my Heaphy Track trip and was much less expensive than I expected. It was significantly cheaper than a car relocation service and even competitive with some of the bus services, which take much longer! Travel to and from the Heaphy Track was seamless and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and overall fantastic. 10/10 would do this again.

Our somewhat last minute trip to Abel Tasman was only made possible thanks to the great shuttle service from Golden Bay Air. Pick up from Nelson was very smooth and came with a fantastic overview of the history of the city. Our driver and tour guide Anne was fantastic, with a wealth of knowledge of the area and great sense of humor. Hope to make this a yearly visit, and with Anne again in the future.

Do not select a pick up location in Takaka township for the Heaphy track, without prior transport arrangements from the airstrip on your return. Having booked a "Heaphy transport package ex Takaka", with a pick up from the visitor centre in town, on our return we were flown to Takaka airstrip and essentially dumped there. We then had to call Golden Bay air, who charged us an extra $25 to shuttle us back to Takaka township (only available as they happened to have a spare pilot working in the office at Takaka airstrip). Awesome scenic flight with Aaio today. He's very knowledgeable about the area and the flight was very smooth in spite of the breeze. Stunning views of the top of the west coast, farewell spit and able tasman.
