We used the transfer service from Wellington to Takaka for the Heaphy and then return from Karamea. Both pilots (Josh and Aio) were friendly and informative. We were transferred to the trail head by Richard even though our flight got in late. The whole thing went off without a hitch and their staff seem genuinely stoked to be flying around Golden Bay. Awesome company - highly recommend
I had booked the expérience flight and cruise in Abel Tasman from Nelson. It was amazing, everything was well organized, thank you Richard and Josh for giving me an unforgettable day.
I cannot recommend Golden Bay Air enough. The experience was one of the highlights of my Heaphy Track trip and was much less expensive than I expected. It was significantly cheaper than a car relocation service and even competitive with some of the bus services, which take much longer! Travel to and from the Heaphy Track was seamless and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and overall fantastic. 10/10 would do this again.
Our somewhat last minute trip to Abel Tasman was only made possible thanks to the great shuttle service from Golden Bay Air. Pick up from Nelson was very smooth and came with a fantastic overview of the history of the city. Our driver and tour guide Anne was fantastic, with a wealth of knowledge of the area and great sense of humor. Hope to make this a yearly visit, and with Anne again in the future.
Booked a shuttle bus service from Mārahau to Takaka and another one from Takaka to Nelson. The ride was super, great views and some great conversations with the driver. We even stopped at a local farm shop to get some fresh fruit. Unfortunately the last shuttle was cancelled, but I was offered some good alternatives.
